Filtering out directories in FlexGet

Post by yoram »

Hi
I have my server up and running for about a year now and the family enjoys it very much

Recently I started downloading (Deluge + FlexGet) many directories including a zipped, probably fake file "encrypted" with some password
In trying to stop downloading these files I added a content filter to my YML file

content_filter
require:
- '*.avi'
- '*.mkv'
reject:
- '*.zip'
- '*.rar'
- ettv

hopefully, these filters would have stopped all compressed files and allow only AVI and MKV files

However, if the compressed file is within a directory or some other un-extentioned file, it's not working

any clues?

Thanks
Yoram

Hi there Yoram, nice to "speak" to you again. Hope you've been keeping well.

I saw a similar issue when trying to download TV Shows from places like Pirate Bay. There seemed to be little control over what got uploaded to the site and so Flexget would download all sorts of "junk". In the end I stopped using those sites and stuck with EZTV and BTChat.

To be honest, I was not even aware those options you're using in Flexget even existed so you're already ahead of the game with regards the functionality of FlexGet and what it can and cannot do. Sorry

Hi Ian
Well, except for the very high disk prices everything is fine.
Have to clear space more frequently . . .

There was a short time when EZRSS was down. During that period I've added couple more sources.
Could be that these entries give me the fake links. I jut put them under remark.
Will post later if it helps.

Thanks. Yoram

That sounds pretty similar to what happened to me. When EZRSS was down I started looking elsewhere. Trouble is, apart from BTChat I couldn't find any other service that comes close

That's right
I'm back to EZRSS and BTChat. So far it's good.
