I am working my way through .... it seems that UUID is preferred rather than the /dev/sda syntax, indeed I cannot remember the last time I did not use UUID.
But the temperature script and the spin down script seem to depend on the old style to work. Is there anything I can do to use UUID or do I need to take a step back and figure out what the /dev/ path should be?
/dev/ uuid
Re: /dev/ uuid
I just thought .... not matter what, the command fdisk -l is still going to deliver the information for all partitions.
Perhaps I should sleep at night rather than adding posts since was not exactly a difficult solution :(
