Mounting a dvd drive

Hi HaveTheKnow,
Your guide has been extremely helpful! In fact there is only one thing that I want out of my media server that your guide does not address, and was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. Blu-ray mounting, and ripping from the server... From what I understand the Ubuntu automounting of CD/DVD/BR's is all part of ubuntu-desktop. I have been able to find a little info on auto mounting of CD's, but for BluRays I imagine the file system type might be different, is that true? Any help, info, or redirection would be greatly appreciated!!! I would really like to setup automounting that supports reading and writing, potentially like a previous post assumed you did it.

My DVD drive mounted without issue, even before I'd installed Ubuntu. I don't have a BDROM drive in my server (I rip my blu-rays using my regular dektop machine).

Firstly I'd check it is recognised in the BIOS. If it is then perhaps having a reading here would yield some useful info:

If you're trying to mount a drive from a virtual machine running on your server then you can do that quite easily via virt-manager. Alternatively something along the following lines should work (editing the command to suit your environment): virsh -c qemu:///system attach-disk web_devel /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom

Hi Have The Know-How!,
The drive mounts just fine, but I have to mount it myself... "sudo mount /dev/sr0 /cdrom". It does not automatically mount or dismount when inserting and removing CD/DVD/BR's...
