1. The computer hangs when shutting down - I must go to the server and finish the restart manually as I am presented with a command line root@etc....
Code: Select all
user@mediaserver:~$ sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package ia32-libs is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
lib32z1 lib32ncurses5 lib32bz2-1.0
At any rate, MusicIP install information needs update. :-)
UPDATE: So, installing those 3 packages seemed to fix the problem of the server not shutting down/restarting on its own.
There is an error message on start up which says (more or less) the same thing when attempting to start MusicIP magic server or whatever it's called. I attempted this manually after the reboot - and after stopping the Logitech Media Server (and subsequently restarting after starting MusicIP manually)
Code: Select all
user@mediaserver:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/mmserver start
[sudo] password for user:
/etc/init.d/mmserver: 5: /etc/init.d/mmserver: i: not found
Running MusicMagicServer
user@mediaserver:~$ Starting server on port 10002
Then I restarted Logitech Media Server
Code: Select all
user@mediamanager:~$ sudo service logitechmediaserver start
Making sure that Logitech Media Server is not running first: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 2693: No such process
No process in pidfile '/var/run/logitechmediaserver.pid' found running; none killed.
Starting Logitech Media Server.
user@mediamanager:~$
