Server will not restart after installing Ubuntu[SOLVED]

Hi there

I had a similar problem building my media server.

By the sounds of it, your server is still looking to boot of your memory stick even though it isnt there, either that or its looking for something to boot altogether, but if this was the case you would have received an error stating 'no boo-table device, please insert boot media and continue' - or something to that effect.

Can you go into you boot order in your bios and change it so that the Hard Drive is first on the list. and if possible remove any other boot options from the boot order and see if that works. - Remember if you want to boot off your pen drive again you will need to re-arrange the order in your bios back to the way it was.

I am getting myself a SATA optical drive So i can more easyly boot a "live" system. From thereone i will see what happens.

You don't need to do that, simply make a Ubuntu live cd on to a USB stick with universal USB creator.

It seems that my Asrock A75M-hvs is to new for ubuntu. I have connected my server with my TV using HDMI and found out that my TV could display it
