Ok, First off, what a wonderful site with very specific directions. I just setup my media server the other day and everything is going pretty well. At this point, my only hangup is that Deluge won't actually start downloading the torrents that flexget sends to it. I figure that this has something to do with port forwarding. I attempted to open up a port on my router, but I am not sure if I did it correctly. How can I test to see if it is open? What port should I have used? I chose a port in the 59000 range. I know that I will need to offer up more information, so if someone can point me in the correct direction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Deluge won't download
Re: Deluge won't download
Hello and welcome to the forums. Glad you found the site useful
Just to check we're on the same page: Are you saying that torrents do appear in Deluge but don't actually start downloading? Or don't they appear in deluge at all? If the former then it's a port problem. The actual port numbers you open are up to you. The key thing is to make sure the numbers you actually open on your router match those you set in Deluge.
In Deluge go to Preferences and then Network, the Incoming Ports (the From: and To: ports inclusively) are the ports you need to open on your router. Make sure you also uncheck the Use Random Ports option. I have 10 ports open -> 16881 to 16891.
Hope this helps.
Ian.

Re: Deluge won't download
Thanks for the quick reply. I was almost certain that it was a ports issue, but after doing some research, I found a site discussing ownership of the incomplete and tv directories. When I installed, Deluge didn't create those directories for me, so I went and created them myself. However, I was in root at the time, so root owned both. I used chmod a+w and after a reboot, my torrent began downloading.
I look forward to playing around with additional features, so the fact that you responded so quickly bodes well for the future. Once again, great guides. Thanks for all of your hard work.
