flexRAID expired. I tried to update from version 1.4 to 2.0 but couldn't get it to work. I uninstalled flexRAID and started over. I still have my parity disk so I imported flxr.meta. Now when I try to update I get:

Re: flexRAID unable to backup metadata file
This appears to have been a permission problem. My FlexRaid directory was 755 and it used to work fine. Now with version 2.0 I had to change the directory to 777. Unfortunately I deleted all the parity data before I figured this out. It kept failing creating a new parity set until I changed the permissions. Now it is chugging away.

Ah. I replied to you here but I see I'm a bit late to help you.
Anyway, glad you seem to be up and running again. Whilst it's irritating having to upgrade I think version 2.0 of FlexRAID is a LOT nicer than the previous versions. He's said a "final" (non-expiring) version will be released at some point so you'll be able to stick with version 2.x for a long time.
Ian.
