Mounting problems Win.Ubuntu dual boot.

Post by desertranger »

The other day trying to mount /dev/sda3 through the fstab file I got the following error.
Error mounting /dev/sda3 at /media/fuzzer/OS: Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmask=0077,fmask=0177" "/dev/sda3" "/media/fuzzer/OS"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: Windows is hibernated, refused to mount.
Failed to mount '/dev/sda3': Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

Clearing it from fstab and rebooting I tried mounting it from the Places menu and got the same error.

Then loaded windown and ensured it was in full shut downmode followed by a full shutdown command from the Win cmd line. Still same error. I don't have any problems with that partition while in Windows only in Ububtu (14.04 LTS server)
