[Resolv]how to have Router DHCP pass through KVM to VM Guest

So I have a nice little home network setup. I have a router running Tomato 1.28 and it is doing wonders. I love using the Static DHCP and to control my computers and servers and other hardware using that router. However all my attempts to try to have my routers DHCP being passed over to the VM guests through my host using KVM is failing. I only have one NIC on the Host (but have a few extra 100Mbits NICs laying around if I need it) to make the router being in charge.

Now something I noticed is that I do not have the dnsmasq installed on my host. And when I followed the information on http://www.havetheknowhow.com/Configure ... e-KVM.html and when I try to define the already created vm guest I get an error message telling me that my bridge is faulty.

Following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/KVM/Networking about defining my VM guest this is the error message I get:
error: Failed to define domain from webserver.xml
error: internal error No <source> 'bridge' attribute specified with <interface type='bridge'/>

So I am having a rough time. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I found the answer to my own question at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=969208
Now my VM guest is receiving IP from my router. Also for anyone else running into this issue, I had to create a new NIC in the VM manager UI. I am quite excited. This took me a weekend to figure out. Things should go smoothly now.

I've never tried doing what you were stuck on so would have been no help at all. Glad you got it sorted and thanks for sharing.

Isn't it always the way, you get stuck on something for ages, post a question in a forum and then solve it almost immediately afterwards
