I installed 16.04 then had much frustration trying to setup VNC which 3 months ago had not supported this build!
I looked around and came across X2Go which not only is simplicity it's seft to setup but, in my opinion, is a much better product.

Kodi settings transfer?
Hi All,
I'm currently looking to set up a Kodi 'multi client' system using MySQL on a Ubuntu 12.04 server with Android boxes as clients for each TV.
My question, is there a way to transfer one clients set up ( i.e. Kodi settings which in my case are quite extensive) to each of the others?
thanks
Geoff

Re: Renaming Seeding Media for Kodi scrapers
Hi All, Just to close this thread. Kodi worked it's magic and eventually scraped all my Movie, TV and Music files. One thing I've learned is that Kodi may take a number of days to initiate any major changes such as initial set up of large collections. Any way all's well that ends well. p.s I did not...

Re: Renaming Seeding Media for Kodi scrapers
Hi Ian, Yes I use Movienizer to do similar. The problem with torrenting file is the naming structure of the files, which of course can't be changed from the original if continued seeding is wanted. Movienizer will export .nfo files into the Movies to cover the Kodi scrappers, however this essentiall...

Renaming Seeding Media for Kodi scrapers
Hi, Following years of great service from my Server (12.04) having followed Ian's methods it's time to improve further. I would like to again follow Ian's method with Kodi using MySQL via Android boxes. I'm currently trialling Kodi on a Windows PC feeding from my Movie collection. My problem is the ...

Windows Share
Hi All I've had my server up and running now for a couple of months. It's working well on the main task of seeding via Deluge. I've also set up drives sharing with my Windows 7 Desktop (although the server is not recognised on the Network until I input its name via windows explorer (\\server1) !!) I...

Re: Slight Problem with Networking
Hi there, You're not the first person to hit either of these problems so clearly my guide is not up to par. I suspect this new issue is down to you not giving write permissions in Ubuntu for the relevant folder(s). So, assuming you have given write permission in Samba (when you set the samba share ...

Re: Login problems Webmin
Ian hi, Yes got the warning message and selected 'proceed anyway'. This morning I've cleared the history out of Chrome, tried again, got warning message, selected 'proceed anyway', login failed! I then went back to Ubuntu Server and issued your 'sudo /usr/share/webmin/changepass.pl /etc/webmin root ...

Re: Login problems Webmin
Ian,
Ran command,ok.
Tried again in Chrome, failed login!
Tried in Firefox, failed login!
Note that in Chrome from address https://server1:10000 it cancels Https and returns address server1.local:10000 then login fails.

Re: Login problems Webmin
Ian,
Had a look at the link and things seem to be as expected.
I get the login but Webmin won't accept either the username, root, or password!
