Any chance that the instructions for installing MusicIP to work with Logitechmediaserver might be updated for Ubuntu 18.04. The new systemd makes it impossible as far as I can tell to launch mmserver on boot or adjust it to launch before LMS.
Thanks

Re: MusicIP disappeared from menu
Everything went well and I have gotten rid of the duplicates in my MusicIP gui and headless . After a complete scan Squeezebox shows the MusicIP import at 21197 whereas MusicIP iteslf reports 17,529 mixable tracks (which I believe is correct. I didn't delete the var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache file w...

Re: MusicIP disappeared from menu
How easy is it to unistall MUsiciP? I am thinking that a reinstall may solve some of my issues. Right now there is a folder called MusicIP in my home folder and a folder called .MusicMagic in Home folder. Can I just delete these folders or is it more involved

Re: MusicIP disappeared from menu
I made a little progress but not quite what I was hoping for. I replaced the new default.m3lib (which does not seem to work) with the old default.m3lib. As I thought MusicIP mixes became available again in my Squeezebox. I also discovered that it is possible, from the gui version of MusicIP to delet...

Re: MusicIP disappeared from menu
m shows :Total songs 25,848 Mixable songs 25,835 This is incorrect though because there are in fact according to LMS: Total Tracks: 21,227 I have never left the Media Folders in Basic Settings blank; I have always pointed it to my music directory and this has worked in the past. Edit: I just tried l...

Re: MusicIP disappeared from menu
You may be right about reinstalling but I am wondering if I need to go further and delete the Squeezeserver cache files in the /Var directory. Here are the scan results: Media Scan Details Discovering files/directories: /media/STORAGE/Music/Flac (25619 of 25619) Complete 00:00:04 Removing deleted fi...

MusicIP disappeared from menu
Recently MusicIp started creating duplicate tracks when I scanned for new music. To correct this I used the method described (m) of removing default.m3lib and recreating the MUsicIP Database. Unfortunately after doing this "Create MusicIP Mixes" has disappeared from my Squeezebox player so...

Re: MusicIP
I wish I had known that. I am having major stability problems with 12.04 particularly when running flash videos (screen and mouse freezes until I to a hard reboot). I had thought it might be because I installed Cinnamon DE but I now believe 12.04 was not quite ready for release. If you can get Music...

Re: MusicIP
Another way that is much easier is to install MusicIP through WINE. MusicIp actually works better this way and allows archiving of whole directories at a time; with the Linux install I find I can only install by the bottom most folder in a directory (in my case this is by album, but since I have alr...
