I'm having this same exact issue trying to use the Synaptics tools. Has anyone found a resolution for this? By the way the "Leaking memory" (no talloc stackframe at ../source3/param/loadparm.c:4864, leaking memory) error in your log above, I solved this by using instructions from here... h...

Quick update, the answer was just to take the command line add sudo to the front and paste it into Putty "sudo mkfs -t ext3 -q /dev/Media1-vg/UserData"

Well, I found a work-around! I stole the command string that Webmin was trying to use and getting errors with, and pasted it into Putty. The first try I got an error so I added a "sudo" to the beginning and after typing in my PW, voila... took a few minutes but it configured it! here is th...
