They work OK in Internet Explorer - But not so good in Firefox and Chrome. Browser compatibility issues.

Synaptic seems to install OK and it shows up when I access it via the VNC desktop. Also, when I reboot the system, it now comes in graphical mode instead of the command line. Is this normal. Did not do this in 10.04, which is the release I am on at the moment.

Had almost the same problem. It starts Ok from the server machine itself, but not when accessed via Tight VNC from another machine. Accepts the password and then just nothing happens.
