So i went for the setup of 10.04 LTS and now i get problems coudnt get package gnome-core. I think i may just revert to M$ :(
This is a pretty steep learning curve....

Well as i sit here, i am rebuilding using 10.04. I had so many issues with user rights, stupid keyboard shortcuts etc i just had no choice. Ill let you know how i get on.

Thanks guys, I have put a fair bit of time into building the system and i would hate to start from scratch and I am indeed using Server 11-04. I am making the assumption that like an M$ OS, you cant simply roll back? I just figured out the shortcut issue a minute before i logged on here Thanks again...
